Septuplets causing crashes.
I downloaded MuseScore 9.5 tonight on my Macbook that is running Leopard 10.5.8. It seems like a great program but I noticed that every time I got to the seventh note of a septuplet it would lock up and crash. After twenty minutes of experimentation I decided to download the program on my netbook running Windows XP SP3 and had the exact same problem.
If there is anything I can add to this post to help out the developers please let me know.

Normally, it's solved for the upcoming 0.9.6 version. You can try a prerelease or a nightly.

I downloaded the latest pre-release on a Windows 7 workstation and it did not crash. I can only create the septuplet with three beams though, and I would prefer two.
Is there a way to adjust the number of beams?I found the beam palette. :)Thanks for the suggestion!

The problem with the septuplet creating three beams instead of two is already fixed in the latest nightly build. See #4696: Septuplet uses too many beams. for details.
I tried writing a septuplet with 0.9.5 but I don't get a crash. Could you give more details? Time signature, note durations you used, exact buttons or keys or mouse clicks you used, etc.

Hi David,
It was in 5/4 using sixteenth notes. I used this sequence of keys: G A B C D B *lock up and crash*
I was able to open the file and add the last note--a "C"--but it crashed every time I tried to do all seven notes at once. I will update my Mac to the newest pre-release tonight and see if it continues to freeze.

I can create the septuplet without any problems after the upgrade. Thanks everyone!
