Fingerings
I have tried inserting them as explained in the handbook, but nothing appears when I put them in. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried both methods mentioned in the handbook for adding fingering ? If you are using the drag-and-drop method make sure that you drag directly onto the note head. It will appear very close (too close) to the note head at first but you can move it later.
I drag it to the note head and it turns red, then when I release it nothing is there. No number appears.
Do you see other text on the score okay? What version of MuseScore are you using? What operating system?

I just realized actually no text appears... Using 0.9 and WinXP.
