how did you generated that PDF, via Export or via a PDF Printer?
What operating System?
Which font, Bravura, Emmentaler, or Gonville?
See #40646: [Windows] Exported PDF displays small symbols on Qt 5.4.0, it should have been fixed
Edit: I can confirm, with the nighly build.
It is not the case however with the very same version build myself.

I used Muscore export function, system win7, font id="1" family="FreeSerifMscore"

That's not the font I meant (I meant Style/General/Score/Musical Font and Musical Text Font), but anyway, I can reproduce, Windows 7 (Enterprise, 64bit) with the nightly build, via Export using Bravura (but I don't think it matters)
Still it works with my self build one, one difference would be debug vs. release, but I can't see how this might be relevant to this problem, as the code doing the (up)scaling is the same in either case?

My default font is Emmentaler, and its stil the same using MuseScoreNightly-2014-12-18-1509-3f842fb.7z

It is not DEBUG vs RELEASE mode, it still is nightly build vs. self built... and still a mystery to me
