Embedded Linux Musescore

Musescore 1.2 dfsg on Linaro Ubuntu using ARMv7 hard float.
Missing visual elements for key signatures

I've been working on getting Linaro Ubuntu working on a relatively inexpensive ARM based tablet and decided to try musescore. I am aware that ARM is not fully supported, but there are 0.9.6 and 1.2 debian packages for musescore.
All of them seem to have this bug, so I'm thinking it could be QT or some other problem. I have even compiled from source on the tablet and still those missing key signatures happen.
In the requirements list, I see that musescore requires a 1024x768 screen, yet I am using 1024x600 but this couldn't possibly contribute to font scaling? or can it? My DPI is still 96, changing it doesn't do anything so I'm stumped.
Even exporting the PDF of a file yields the same result.
2 things don't work and that's it: Preferences menu and the missing elements. Maybe it's an XML parsing prob, id(f)k.

Any ideas? Has anyone else run musescore on an embedded device and seen this bug?

I ran MuseScore on a raspberry pi and I know other people are doing so. I never saw this problem. Are they specific characters? and always the same one? Like the flat?

Preferences menu now working could be due to the audio system.

The keysignatures in the screenshot aren't correct as they're missing a couple of sharps in the middle. I've looked at the TTF on the device with a font viewer and it looks fine so I'm narrowing it down to XML parsing or QT4 rendering. Also with gdb, going to the preferences menu gave me the segfault with QIcon:QIcon(&const )() but no other information like line numbers or about audio so I'm not sure if I have the debug symbols for QT4 or am even using gdb properly.

Was a solution for this found? I am trialling Musescore on a Raspberry Pi and am having the same problem. Missing flats and some sharps in the key signatures.
Many thanks.

What version of MuseScore? Did you compile it yourself? I don't know anything about how things might install on a Pi, but be sure to compile the correct version of all notation fonts into the executable itself, and do *not* install any version of the notation fonts normally - MuseScore must see its own compiled-in version only.
