Musescore disables keyboard map
I'm using a french keyboard, with some personal adjunctions for esperanto.
For exemple ALTGR+o types œ
and ALTGR+v types ŭ
these typings are disabled when typing text in Musescore.....I have to use the general characters table to paste thes letters....
Why the "musescore text keyboard" change the local one?

ALTGR (so labeled on my french keyboard) is the key laying right next to space bar.
On the keyboard map (Ubuntu 10.04) it's labeled ISO_L...

but my question is not "how to type the œ ", but rather
Why musescore doesn't use the locale of the machine it is running on?

I'm french too ;) But on my keyboard on windows ALTGR + o does not create a 'e dans le o". So my question is how did you make this to happen ? Is it a ubuntu feature?
MuseScore is using the locale of the machine to choose the language of the interface per default.
MuseScore is based on Qt and I'm not sure how Qt deals with the keyboard preference of your OS.

Qt seems to be able to use local keyboard configuration.

So the present situation, by which the local keyboard is substituted by a "musescore (indeed QT keyboard" results presumably from a choice by musescore developer.
Since the users of mscore have eventually to use their native language within the scores they prepare, I think that the choice to have musescore use the local keyboard map, at least for texts, would be better.
As far as the "o dans le e" is concerned, I have, under ubuntu installed 2 configurations.
One is a standard conf, delivered by Ubuntu, called "France autre" = French alternate ? which deliver the œ
The other is "France + espéranto autre", which also deliver the œ, and which is the one I use. The ŭ however is not easy to type, so I modified a file to get it with ALTGR + v
I could install a lot of other french keyboard. It seems that only the ones which are labelled "autre" deliver the œ. The ones which are not "autre" deliver instead the ø
I had a glance to a Windows XP running in a virtual machine, within which ALTGR + o deliver nothing, but I did not find the equivalent facilities to change the keyboard
