Sorry, here's the file.
Double click on a bar line in the piano score and pull the handle down to the next staff so that the bar line spans both staves (as it should for piano). This also fixes the repeat bar at the beginning of the system.
Piano instruments added in the latest prerelease will have barlines spanning both staves by default. My guess is you are opening a file you created in an older version/prerelease of MuseScore.

However, this will mean that the bar lines are there throughout the score.
Not a big problem for me, but I remember reading here that it was an advantage to have no bar lines when lyrics were added.

Yes, I suppose the bug is still there if you want to add lyrics.
