singing to score
I found this software:

It has many interesting features, that helps to quickly create a score.
Especially the voice input.
The rhythm is automatically detected and intelligently quantized.

Not sure if your aware of this, but ScoreCloud is essentially a competitor of MuseScore, as well as Finale and Sibelius. See here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxdErKUTXIg
Although MuseScore isn't listed in the "Showdown per say, you can obviously tell that SoundCloud is it's own brand. I actually downloaded the app. And their advertisements show it's effective, however it doesn't work well with a microphone. MIDI support is quite good, however the microphone translation messes up way too much. Thanks for commenting, although I'm not quite sure that this program could be used in musescore. If you are saying MuseScore should develop their own software like this, MuseScore already offers MIDI support, however the singing to score may be patented by ScoreCloud. Their could be ways around it, but it could be pretty complicated.

In the MuseScore could be used for example one of these direct audio to midi plugins:

http://imitone.com/
(Don't know if there exist similar free product.)
But what is the power of ScoreCloud is the inteligent rhythm detecting.
It is not necessary to play with metronome.

ScoreCloud seems to be the "panacea" to all "non music educated ears".
But... there still are a lot of people that can do that, because they were learning to do that (they are called: musicians).
Is the computer world final intention to replace all the human capabilities? ???
Well, if it is the thing, there will be a new World War against the machines, HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

I personally have no problem with the writing of music scores, but the question is how much time it takes.
This software can help musicians, but it can't replace them. Complicated rhythm must be adjusted manually.
