tempo text oddities

• Sep 18, 2015 - 12:29

damn program!!!!

why are there millions of different beaviours for tempo texts??!

I´m in a hurry. ... and need to adjust some tempi to adjust a piano voice in speed for laying under a trumpet voice in audacity ....

by typing (with alt + t) quarter = 100 it works fine ... next bar same procedure same value -> half tempo ... ( or if not half not 100 bpm at all ) ...

I often had those oddities and only could hazzardly get the right tempo.

restarting the programm did it once .... typing in a new / same value one bar further... same behaviour.

The bpm shown in musescore also differ from the speed it ´ll be played here in the upload.

My playing speed in the player isn´t changed at all.

Welcome. I'm just an end user, and maybe I did not understand your question but ...
try clicking on tempo text> Ctrl + C and you can paste it (Ctrl+V) on the following notes;
A double-click a time text it allows you to write the new value.
Check Inspector controls in the box (see attachment).
For more information follow the manual

I'm not sure what problems you're having, but the program makes handling tempos blessedly simple. Simply click once to select the tempo text you created, and you can change its BPM using the Inspector.

Thank you for posting the score. Now let's see if we can figure this out. I see a lot of tempo markings, but they all seem to be "correct" in the sense that their BPM value in the Inspector matches the number displayed in the tempo text itself. However, this is not true in the linked parts. I'm going to do some experimenting; it's entirely possible that you've discovered a bug of some sort. If that's the case, then thank you very much for bringing it up, and you can bet it will be fixed for an update of MuseScore.
