default transpose octave
Hi,
since one does not want to transpose an unison often, is it an idea to set the transpose default to octave?
The "transpose by key" function could be dropped as far as I am concerned...
Thanks!

makes no sense to me, it's basically the same as transpose by unison. However, I agree with the lack of need for transpose by key. I much prefer to transpose by interval.

Indeed transpose by unison makes no sense, and I always use CTRL+up arrow/down arrow for transposing by octave.
I don't see how there can be a default for transpose - every time you use it you will probably be wanting a different degree of transpose.
Tranpose by key is sometimes useful, so IMO it should be kept.

"it's basically the same as transpose by unison."
no, not realy, it saves the scrolling down the list to "octave"
"I always use CTRL+up arrow/down arrow for transposing by octave."
:) okay, that makes sense

I just meant it is the one selected by default once one clicks transpose...

No matter what gets selected as the default, it will be wrong at least 11/12 of the time. i suppose that's better than being wrong 12/12 of the time as is the case now, but only barely. I prefer the default as it is, so if I take no action, then nothing happens.
As for transpose by key, I use that on occasion in conjunction with the facility to change the key signature while I'm at it.

It never occurred to me that one would use this facility rather than "select" and "Ctrl -up/down".
