Can the score move during playback?

• Nov 12, 2016 - 20:26

Hello

My main reason for Musescore is to view enlarged music score whilst I play the music, as I am visually impaired. So far I have found it very helpful, as I can control the speed and enlarge the music.

However, is it possible for Musescore to move the score whilst playing rather than the blue bar moving across the screen, I struggle when the bar reaches the end of the screen and jumps to the next line.

Many thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely

Sheila

I hope this function could both have on PC/Mac AND IPAD also.

Indeed, both Sibelius & Finale, still NO SUCH function,

Tried Sibelius built-in video export, their IPAD playback app,
still NO LUCK.

Some people upload the video score with fixed indicator,
very impressive.

Although I'd likely prefer a 40-60% separation (a thing that is mostly up to user preference anyway), the main issue isn't that it is scrolling all the time. The issue is that it is scrolling too fast to be easily followed.
In the Bach example video there are two more staves, leading to a smaller scale of the score, leading to less pixels needing to scroll for the same timebase. I think/feel the solution lies into probably having a minimum scale setting.

You can probably already test this out in comparison by using a full orchestra score; in order to fit all those instruments vertically within the video, a smaller scale will have to be used.

Lasconic, that looks very promising.
For my situation I would look to slow the score down, choose the music carefully, and utilise the full screen.
As others have pointed out, it would be better to see futher ahead.

When can I have a go?

:)
