Windows 10 Issues
After downloading and opening MuseScore on Windows 10 the following error message from Windows Installer appears:The installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.
Are there any fixes?

Just to point out the obvious, did you make sure you have the windows version?

I just tested the link and got a windows installer.

If it's the link on the download page that says "Windows 10 Windows 8 Windows 7", then yes.

Yes. That's odd. Like I said, I just downloaded it, and it started to install, but I aborted since I don't need it. I'll keep thinking.
Look at this link https://java.com/en/download/help/error_installpackage.xml I realize it is for java but the procedure can be used on any program. My file is 56,496,128 bytes long (53.8 MB) I found that in properties. If yours is different there was a problem with the download.

Thanks so much! It turns out that Windows Defender was perceiving the file as a possible threat, thereby canceling the download right before it finished. However, I tried the 4th option in the first link and it worked.
