Setting Musescore up as a server software. Possible or not?
Hi!
I have been working on an idea for sharing my sheet music online. I'm creating sheet music with Finale 2012 and my idea was to export the songs to musicXML and I'm wondering if it is possible to upload these musicXML files and set up Musescore as a server software so people could transpose songs online, just pick the right key on the web page and then Musescore on the server would generate the sheet music using the musicXML.
It's all just on idea level, but if it was possible in any way (maybe with some other software like Rosegarden or something), I'd really appreciate if you'd help me out a bit.

Well, there is musescore.com, which already does more or less what you describe except it currently doesn't offer a transpose option. That's a good suggesion, though, and I suspect someday that option might be added.
I can't imagine MuseScore itself would provide any special technical hurdles to setting up a server yourself, assuming you have the necessary skills.
Check out the command line options that MuseScore has.
Added to this, check out this topic: http://musescore.org/en/node/13705
So there is not solution yet, but technically it could be possible.

If you are doing lead sheets only you might want to share your songs on wikifonia.org
