.PDF Save As suddenly doesn't work ????
I've saved many scores to .pdf files in the past, using the Save AS function and selecting .pdf. Today the process works exactly as before and seems to be successful but the saved .pdf file produces a tiny screen that is all grey with a black screen in the center, all very small. What happened? Thank you!

I have always thought creating .pdf files did not cost the user anything. Is that not true? Could it be that some grace period has expired and I have to buy something? If so, what? I have an Apple Macbook Pro with Lion.

PDF export is a built-in feature in MuseScore and should work. If it doesn't it's caused by some bug. As Marc explained, it potentially caused by a low level issue between Qt and the OS. Did you upgrade your system recently?

Meanwhile, I can use .png format to take care of my requirements.
Interesting that it worked before then stopped. There is a bug somewhere (perhaps in the Qt libraries, which do most of this sort of low level stuff in MuseScore) that causes this type of thing on some versions of MacOS. Did you perhaps just install an OS update?

I've been told I should not upgrade my OS for awhile. Apparently, there can be problems.
Thanks for your help in this. I do find that .png format allows me to email my work as attachments which is my main requirement. All the best.

On mac, you can try to do it via File -> Print -> PDF instead of File -> Save as -> PDF

That definitely works. So, the function is not corrupted, just one form of accessing it. I can live with that. Thank you very very much! JHJ
