"Menu" is missing
I just downloaded MuseScore and I want to try it out by creating a new score. The instructions say to go to the "Main Menu," then go to "File" and "New." But I can't find the "Main Menu" anywhere on my screen. Can someone please tell me where to find it? Thanks.

I assume you are talking about the "Create New Score" section of Chapter 1.
Yep, that's what it says. Pretend it says, "From the main window, choose..."
When the program first comes up, there should be a File menu in the upper left corner. That's the one you want.

What operating system are you using?
Did you install MuseScore, or just download it? (Sorry if that sounds silly, but I gotta ask.)
Did you start MuseScore? On Windows, there should be a MuseScore icon on your desktop. Click the icon to start the program. If there's no desktop icon, you should be able to start MuseScore from the Start menu in the lower left corner of your screen.
Once the program starts, the File menu is in the upper right corner of the program's window.
