Programing drum notation should not be necessary

I come from Sibelius and am pretty pleased with the percussion notation there: just put a note with the mouse or "R" (repeat) in the score and then change the head to a rimshot, rim, ride bell, whatever. When I'm not confident with the tom or cymbal I simply change the height of the note. I feel free in Sibelius.
But with Musescore 4 I feel like I should program my own notation. If I would do that I would probably be faster for simple backbeats but I want to be spontaneous with different instruments or different stem directions. With every instrument like vibraphone, marimbaphone, strings or piano I can do what I want but when I write for drum set or just one cymbal hit I can't even change the height of the head in the score. The normal "change note head type" doesn't apply to percussion...
It's surely nice for someone only writing for drum set and then have his own customized things. So it should be an option BUT not the main setting.
