Page settings and formating page not opening

This happens both on Debian 12 (wayland) and Ubuntu 23.04 (wayland) with either appimage (v4.1) and flatpak (v4.0). It just shows a black window for a fraction of a second and then disappears.
On xorg I can open the formating page but the page settings page only opens sometimes (when it doesn’t, it shows the page for a very short time before closing again).
