Notes counted wrong in a 3/4 time measure
I entered tuplet notes (see attachment) in a 3/4 time measure. After entering the equivalent of 3 quarter notes, I still have a quarter note and an eighth note left. I entered the quintuplet as an 5:2 quintuplet on an eighth note. I entered the Sextuplet as a 6:2 on an eighth note, then I entered the last quintuplet as a 5:2 on an eighth note. You can also see a whole rest in the bass clef. It should be a half rest and a quarter rest. I looked at measure properties and it says the measure is a 3/4 time measure. Did I do something wrong?

I count 3 eighth notes so far.
That makes 4 eighth plus one quarter -> 3 quarter
I guess you want the tuplets on quarters instead?

Am I misunderstanding what 5:2 and 6:2 mean? To me, 5:2 on an eighth note, means you want 5 notes on the time of TWO eighth notes, which is one quarter note. In 3/4 time, I quarter note gets one beat. Same with 6:2.

No, you want 5 (or 6) of something in the space of 2.
2 on an eighth is 16th, so you want 5 (or 6) 16th in the space of 2 16th

I don't know. All I know is that when you add an eighth note and do a 5:2 quintuplet, Musescore converts that eighth note to a sixteenth note in the score and adds 4 sixteenth note rests for you to put the other four notes, which is what I want. I want 5 sixteenth notes in the space of four. However, if I put a sixteenth note on the page and tell Musescore I want a 5:4 quintuplet, it automatically converts the sixteenth notes into 32nd notes. Maybe the time works out right, but visually that is wrong! It should show 5 sixteenth notes on the page, not 5 32nd notes.

4 16th is a quarter.
if what you want is a "5plet" on the 1st and on the 3rd times and a "6plet" on the 2nd time, with the measure full with these 3 "tuplets" simply use CTRL+ 5 and CTRL+6 on QUATER Rests. If you enter any tuplets regular or not, on an eight note, his lengh will be 1/2 time cause eight note. Enter it on a quater rest, it will be 1 time.

For the whole rest in bass stave, I think "convention" is to write a whole rest in any time signature, 3/4 4/4 5/4

OK, that works; however, the Online Handbook says to click on a note, not a rest. I thought, "OK, I want 5 sixteenth notes in the space of 4, so I need to click on a sixteenth note. Musescore's methodology is not intuitive.

Note or Rest is the same, the only thing important is the lengh, don't worry about sixteen, eighteen....... you only want 5 or 6 NOTES on 1 time, Simply begin to have your 3 times , separate, note or rest . Without thinking if it will be sixteen or others, enter how many notes you want in the time 1 so Ctrl+5, and it's done !! idem for time 2

That means the note icons in the toolbar. If ypu want 5 16th in the space of 4 (16th!), you need a quarter.
