Deleting notes
Hi,
I love Musescore, it is self-explanatory, user-friendly and so on...
Except for one thing: I cannot find how I can delete a note.
I can modify ok, but how to just delete??
Thank you all for your help.
Greetings from PAris, France.

Select, press Del. It'll be replaced by a rest.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I am using a Mac, and don't have a Del key!!
And how can I then delete the rest?

What key are you then using to delete a letter in a word? Use the same here
Usually you don#t detelet rests though, why would you?
Music is noise (note) and silence (rest), deleting silence doesn't make much sense...
But indeed you can delete rests too, using Ctrl+Del (and don't tell me you Mac doesn't have those ;-)), creating a shorter measure by doing so. See also https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tools#timewise-delete

To delete a letter, I use Backspace.
And you are right: it does work with notes.
And my Mac does also have a Ctrl key.
Thx!

Might be Ctrl+Backspace then. Or Cmd+Backspace, on Macs I never know
