Problem with "D.S. al Fine": Bars with barlines "Repeat" are not played twice

• May 30, 2020 - 16:07

Hello,

I am not sure if this is a software problem, but because the playback is not like I expected I decided to post it.
Here is my score:

demo.png

HowI expected the playback to play the bars:
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 5

So after jumping to the Segno in bar 2 I thought the bars 3 and 4 are played twice, too. Instead the repeat barline is ignored and the playback plays the following sequence, ignoring the repat barline after the jump.
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Is that a bug?
Or did I simply misunderstood the concept of "Segno" and "D.C al Fine" ??

Thanks for an answer.

For better analysis:
You can find my file here: Test.mscz
It was created with the fopllowing musescore version:

Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.3.4.9066, revision: 7684abe

By chance I now found how to solve the problem....
Clicking on "D.C. al Fine" there is the checkbox "Play repeats" in the section "Jump" of the inspector.
This checkbox is per default not set and that caused my problem.

Hi,

ok, although the problem was already solved for me, I now have the same problem again... I created a sheet and I once again ued "D.S al Fine", this time with activated option "play repeats" :-)
But after jumping to the segno at the beginning, the both repeats signs (first in bar 26, the second in bar 36) are ignored in the playback and I have no idea why.

I attached the complete file for analysis, in case this problem only occurs due to some strange circumstances in my sheet. Have I made some wrong settings? Or is it a bug?
Thanks for your help.

I am using the following version "OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2.9788, revision: 148e43f"
