Assign different playback pitches for lines and spaces?
I've created a count-in "instrument" consisting of different counting numbers (i.e. "1-2-3-4") mapped to different lines on the treble staff. In the attached, "1" is mapped to C4, "2" is mapped to E4, etc.
Upon playing the attached file though, you'll hear that the pitch of the count-in rises (not unexpectedly), though of course this isn't what I want. Is there a workaround?

Use the “Fix to Line“ feature in Inspector. I've made them staccato here to make the individual notes sound more clearly but that's just my personal preference.

Did you listen back? It didn't work. I just hear "1 1 1 1" said in a staccato way.

Yes, I listened back. Clearly I can't understand your original post.
Are you using a custom soundfont? If so, we wouldn't be able to hear what you are hearing.
I think the answer to your dilemma probably comes in altering the soundfont, not anything you'd do in MuseScore.
