I just read through most of this post until it veered, But seeing Soichi's post with the toggle to uncolour out of range note, is it not possible to also add a "delete these notes" option? That would add a functionality to the program.

I think the method just provided in https://musescore.org/en/node/309516#comment-1021034 is short enough and the use case for such a thing rare enough to not warrant a new feature for this.
Unless of course a massive amount of people now come forward and laugh in my face for such an assumption :)
