Musescore doen not work any more after update
I am a pianoteacher from Ostend, Belgium. I use to give my students on a regular basis an improvisation task.
However, one of my students, who has a "macOS Mojave version 10.14 (18A391)" and who worked succesfully with the former version of Musescore, did an update last sunday and is not able to use Musescore anymore.
She tried everything possible, rebooted, reinstalled the program, but nothing worked.
Can you help us please?

Thank you for replying.
However, it is not easy to find a suitable answer in the dropdown list and the explanation is very thechnical.
(e.g. I do not know what a "-w"- command is).
So, sadly your answer hasn't helped and my student is still not able to continue her task.
Is there a possibility for her to reinstall Musescore 2, as that worked just fine on her device?

Have they tried the above workaround?: start MuseScore by double-clicking a score and then in Edit > Preferences > General switch off Startcenter

Read it again, using
-w
is all but one of the workaroundsAnd reinstalling MuseScore 2 might not be needed at all, as installing MuseScore 3 won't have uninstalled it
