octave change doesn't carry through repeat
As can be seen in the attached score, I have two sections, the main melody and the repeat. When the repeat plays the second time, it should be played an octave higher. Though I have placed the up one octave symbol as in the original book score, only the first note where the symbol appears is played up one octave, then the repeat plays as written, not an octave higher.
How do I make the octave change remain for the duration of the second section repeat play-through? As can also be seen, after the repeat at one octave higher, the final note played before the return to the beginning should drop back an octave.

I don't think that's possible. You mean something like this?
I think I have a solution to your problem. Maybe you can break it down from one section with no octave and have another section with a higher octave. Here is an example of this. Please do not copy this work. I hope this helps you.
