Clarinet and piano score behaves as if piano pedal is constantly active

• Jan 3, 2021 - 21:45

OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.5.2.311459983, revision: 465e7b6

I created the attached score with notes only in the piano part to demonstrate the problem. As per the title, it on playback it sounds as if there is a pedal marking active in the piano part even though none has been added.

Some investigation results:
- I can consistently reproduce the problem in a new score and on another PC with the same set MS version/OS.
- If I delete the clarinet instrument the problem goes away.
- If I create a score with the clarinet part below the piano part the problem doesn't occur but if I then re-order the instruments so that the clarinet is above the piano the problem comes back.
- I can reproduce with other woodwind instruments instead of clarinet or with another piano, but not with free reed or brass.

Is it just me and my set up or can anyone else reproduce?

[Edit] I can't reproduce with OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.0.451380634, revision: 10dee08.

Did something get fixed in 3.6?

Sounds just fine.
Here's what I hear:
Constant Pedal.mid
(It should play in Windows Media Player. If not, or using another player, change the file extension from .mid to .mp3 )

I'm running the same as you:
OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.5.2.311459983, revision: 465e7b6
