Changing Bar Properties for multiple bars
I often use a pdf scanning program to import xml files to Musescore for editing. Unfortunately I quite often find that a number of the bars will have picked up the wrong time signature, so that if the time signature is say 4/4, perhaps 10 or 15% will have 7/4 or 9/8 for example. I'd like to be able to selct multiple bars and change the bar duration to 4/4 in one operation, but although Musescore will let me select multiple bars it won't let me change their bar measure in one go and forces me to change each bar individually which takes a bit of time.
Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone found a workaround?
Alternatively can I force all the bars in a whole score to conform to the time signature of the score? It would be a lot more convenient to go through afterwards and edit any "oddities" that did need to have a different bar measure.

This indeed is a manual process currently.
A plugin could be made to force measure lengths, adding rests to shorter measures and clipping contents of longer ones.

That would indeed sort out my problem rather neatly. Any idea how I go about getting a plugin written?

This turned out to be a "fun" coding challenge: https://musescore.org/en/project/time-signature-enforcer

Did you ever look at upgrading this plugin to V4+? I'd like to try it, please.
