Not sure if it's the easiest one, but one solution would be to add them from the master palette to the note where you've added the fermata. Then adjust the offset for it inside the inspector, probably it's also necessary to deselect the automatic placement for it there.

It isn't possible to add the parenthesis to fermata directly, but to the note, where you've added the fermata and changing the horizontal and vertical offset for these added parenthesis inside the inspector, see attached example.
