I'm so confused...

I can't tell if the cellos and basses are playing D natural or D sharp. And plus, how can this be possible?!!!

It looks like D natural to me. Also there would be no need for an accidental to make it a D sharp as that is already in the key signature.

Just come across this thread. This is a harmonic - the whole note D indicates the string, and the diamond indicates where you place your finger lightly to give the natural harmonic, in this case F# two octaves above. (If you use normal finger pressure it will sound F# below middle C.) No double stops involved. Here is a table of the natural harmonics on each string:
