I think you want to right click the tab staff and choose Staff Properties, then click the Advanced Staff Properties button so you can set the Fret font and size.
Hi Mike320, Thank you for that, It works a treat. My old eyes need all the help they can get. Just getting used to using a notation program. Better then the scribble I used to do.

That allows me to change the size, but I can't find how to save the change that I see (and like) in the Preview. Perhaps my laptop screen is too small, but I can find any way to change the page size to see if there is a "Save" button at the bottom.

Click on the title bar (says 'Edit Staff Type') of that dialog window and drag the window up to see more of the bottom. Press 'OK' to save.
