How to add sound to a new drum part
I was transcribing a song on drums that has 3 crash. I created a new note for the third crash, but I don't know how to make the note sound when it plays on the score. Does anyone know if it is possible to add sound to a new drum part?

Hey, this only talks about the visual aspects of the notes, and not how to change the sound?

You need to look up the MIDI drumset mapping, find the note number/pitch of the sound you want (for instance, Splash Cymbal), then assign the settings for name, staff line, etc. to that specific pitch.

How do you assign the midi mapping number to an instrument you want to change in the drumkit, it doesn't appear to give you that option.

In the link "https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/drum-notation#edit-drumset " , is exactely explain how to create a new drum-kit with your selected instruments (sounds), but if you tell us which MuseScore version and Operating System are you using, and attach a screenshot with the 3-lines staff and the position of the notes for your instruments in the staff, i will try to create your drum-kit and send you the file. If the instruments you want to use for your drum-kit are already included in the standard (sounds) instruments of MuseScore, I guess I could do it. If you want to use sounds (i.e samples) which are not existing in MuseScore, then you have: 1st. to create (program) your own instrument, for example using the free program Polyphon, 2nd. The created instrument with Polyphone must be saved with extension .Sf2 or Sf3., 3.th. this .Sf2-file (soundfont) should be included in the ../MuseScore4/Soundfonts directory. and 4th. this new created instrument (sound) could be used in the creation of the drum-kit as described in the link above. This link was also suggested by Jojo-Schmitz.
I am sorry, I do not know if you have many experience with MuseScore or with music programing, I just try to help you.
