cant delete extra measures at end of song.
I press escape - I select the empty section (select/shift select) highlights empty measures 77-96 and press delete or use menu - delete -NOTHING HAPPENS measures remain.

Try highlighting the rest and hitting v. This will toggle "visible" to "invisible." This is recommended over deleting the rest......not sure why........but I don't want to find out.

The OP wants to delete MEASURES, not rests.
