Hidden menu and palette

• Feb 24, 2022 - 19:57

Hello everyone!

I don't know what happened but suddenly the "Slash bar" disappeared from the palette.
I would like a chance to get it back.

Also when I activate the "Tools" menu, the option "Add/Remove system breaks..." is disabled. I would like to know a way to activate it again.

Thanks for any help.

Hug!

What version of MuseScore?

What is a "Slash bar"? and which palette?

"Add/Remove system breaks..." is found under 'Format', not 'Tools'.

I'm using the latest version 3.6.2.

Oh yes, sorry!

A word is missing, I say the "Barbar", it has disappeared from the set of palettes and I want to learn how to recover it.

Yes I changed the menu is really "Add/Remove System Breaks..."
It turns out that this option is disabled to carry out the process.

Thanks a lot friends!

Unfortunately I don't understand what you mean by "Barbar", either. Can you show a picture of what you are trying to do?

The Add/Remove System Breaks menu should never be greyed out unless perhaps you are in the middle of some other operation. So, if you're currently editing text or entering notes or otherwise not in Normal mode, hit Esc to leave the mode you are in and return to Normal mode. Then the menu should be enabled.

I'm guessing that translates as Barlines. That's a palette that is available by default in the both the Basic and Advanced workspaces. If you don't see it, click the "Add Palettes" button at the top of the palette to see the list of palettes that can still be added - it's possible you accidentally deleted it.
