New Score Wizard window too tall

• Mar 2, 2022 - 14:53

I just got a Dell Inspiron 14 laptop running Windows 11. When I open the New Score Wizard, the buttons on the bottom are hidden behind the Taskbar. The quick workaround is to hide the Taskbar. Can easily adjust the size of the window? I can make the window smaller by "grabbing the top edge, but I can't move the window. I can't "grab" the bottom edge.

Thanks. I had already tried that, but after that I couldn't move the entire window to make the bottom visible. I closed the program and opened it again to see if the window was still the same size. It was, AND now I can move the window around. The program remembers the size and placement.
Problem solved.
For what it's worth, I had a similar problem with another Open Source app - Stellarium. They included a shortcut labelled 75% that launched with parameters that make the popup windows smaller. There were as well, a bunch of other shortcuts addressing different graphics issues. Obviously, keeping up with all the different graphics is a lot of work.
Thanks, again.

Just to add one more puzzle piece to this thread... I found the root cause of the issue while testing my connection to a second display (I do slide presentations with LibreOffice). Going into the display settings I found that the recommend scale (which determines the size of text, icons, and windows) for my new laptop is 125%. For the VGA projector I was testing nothing appeared. Set the scale to 100% and all was good. For Musescore, the only issue was the New Score Wizard so I'm leaving it as is. Scale of 125% makes the touchscreen piano keyboard larger which is good since that's my input method.

Thanks for your help.
