The parts are separate "subscores" within the .mscz file together with the main score.

Thanks Steve, I am such a newbie at this that organization that I require a handbook to tell me how to use THE HANDBOOK :):):) Can you just type in questions and there is an AI that is sifting through the data like google does?

In fact Google often works better at finding things in the Musescore Handbook than the search facility on this website. Try adding site:muesecore.org to your Google search.
However, I recommend starting here https://musescore.org/en/handbook and following the links in the contents page to get familiar with what is in the Handbook. Take note of the stuff that you might want to use and skip the less useful stuff. Once you know what is in there your searches can become more efficient.
