Allow zoom controls to be placed at the top of the screen
There is plenty of space at the top of the window. Please allow zoom controls to be placed there by choice.
Putting them in the status bar makes it feel like they are unimportant and "moved out of the way".
My Windows Task Bar is set to 'hidden'. So, unless the M4 window is maxed, every time I move the mouse down to the bottom of the screen to zoom, the Task Bar pops up. It's driving me mad!

It's an annoyance to be sure. but note, you don't need these controls for zooming - Ctrl plus mouse wheel works normally for zooming in/out, as do the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+- and Ctrl++ work (the latter might require customization via Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts on keyboards where "+" requires Shift also).

Thanks for your response and for the information which, thank you, I am aware of.
The problem with moving things around so radically though is that for those who DO use those controls exclusively it requires a change in the way they work; that's the point, and the annoyance.
I just feel they should/could be a draggable component that can dock anywhere, like the palettes.
