help with a few different techniques
these are some elements i've seen used in other scores, so i'm hoping some people here will have the answers:
-rotating hairpins to be at an angle
-adding the small slanted double line in between multiple systems on the same page (you'll see this on most old classical scores)
-splitting a staff midway through a score
Comments
Click on the hairpin then, in the Inspector (MS3), or in Properties (MS4), put a checkmark in the 'Allow diagonal' box. Then drag the (square box) 'handles' to move the hairpin line angle.
Use menu item: Format > Style > System and select the 'System Dividers'.
Select a measure midway in the staff and insert a horizontal frame.

thank you -- got the first two working
the 3rd one I should have explained better. what i'm basically trying to do is have a grand piano staff and then midway through the score change it from 2 to 3 staves

Use 3 staves all the way, then use "Hide empty staves"
