I wrote a piece on MuseScore without muse sounds which involved portamento glissandos. when I later added muse sounds, It got rid of them. please add/fix this in the next muse hub/musescore update if possible

I'm not sure what you mean by got rid of them. What instrument had this happen? Did MU4 delete them or just not play them?

not play them. I write without muse sounds because it makes my computer really slow playback. I only use it for final publishing.

https://musescore.com/user/57180420/scores/11057023 the staccato-marcato note in the violins in measure 4 was originally a glissando from the previous note, but I decided it wasn't worth it. I won't fix this one (I got used to it and anyway it is for a show) but it would be nice to have it in the future

I'm not sure how realistic it is to expect everything from one sound engine to work in a completely different engine. If you are on Windows, there are things you can try to make MuseSounds work on underpowered computers. I've done it.
