Changing Template Name
I am having one hell of a time changing the name of a template I created (from 3.0). I have tried everything possible on my own. I have so many screenshots it gets confusing. The crux of it all is I have a 4 (and 5) string bass template. WHY it got called a song's title from another piece is beyond my comprehension, but I just want to give them their proper template names. I have gone into Properties and deleted appropriate fields and NOTHING seems to work at all.
Is anyone able to guide me or figure out what on God's green earth is happening??

I was able to make the necessary changes via Hilde's assistance. Thank you for your initial offer to assist!
It should work like this:
Open an old template (or an existing score) from MuS 4, MuS 3 or earlier in MuS4.
Use 'save as' in the MuS 4 template folder and choose the desired file name. Probably you should delete the title text block.
[Edit:] No, don't delete but change the title to your template name, Mus 4 needs a title for the templates.
You may make some adjustments if necessary, delete everything (one bar is enough, notes don't matter but are not relevant), ideally choose C major or the key you use most often and save as mscz in the template folder with the desired name (File / save as) . It doesn't matter which time signature and tempo were used - after all, the wizard will ask you again when you use the template. This is also the case with the key signature, but the one in the template is suggested first.
Basically, the template only contains the different instruments and their order in the score as well as the text styles for e.g. the title and other texts. Nothing more.
This is how it works in MuS 3.6.2, there you can also simply rename the file in the template folder and so its name then appears in the custom templates. Use your file manager for this.
