Merging note heads
Hello,
(see attached) Is there a way to write notes as in m.3 without 'moving them together' (m.1 depicts what I wish to display)
Thanks for any advice - wasn't sure how to word this request.

Select the note from the top voice and press "v" (toggle visible)

It is not clear what you are asking.
In measure 1 the notes are displayed that way by default. In measure 3 you seem to have changed the x offset of the sixteenth note to make the head coincide with that of the dotted quarter. A better way to get the noteheads to coincide is to make just the head of the shorter duration note invisible - click on the head and press V. If you were to make dotted quarter notehead invisible instead that would also make the augmentation dot invisible.

You can also simply make only the dot visible again. However, you will then also have to change the note stem direction.
So it is best to hide the 16th notehead.
