I know the time signatures are hitting each other, but these aren't even the right instruments, and Carmina Burana would not have time signatures there...
It's possible if you define those as two staves of a single instrument. Use the generic "percussion" instrument and you customize the drumset definition as needed to use whatever sounds you will need.

I'll try that.

There's just the problem of muse sounds not working with these instruments

True, you'll need to use a soundfont for now. I'd expect that situation to improve within the next few months.

not working.mscz
It didn't work for some reason anyway
command ⇧ up arrow, right?

No, Ctrl+Shift+Up/Down. But indeed, doesn't seem to work for percussion for some reason. So I geuss you could add a piano, set the staves to single line, do the notation there, mute that track, then do the separate parts on spearate instruments for playback (and thus also get Muse Sounds).

ok cool, but how do I hide the percussion without losing the sound as well? will this be part of MS4.2?

Hide the staff, not the instrument the ability to hide individual staves is a new feature of MU4. And 4.2 will indeed provide additional controls above and beyond that.
