Opening Window size (Solved, kind of...)
Is there a way to set MS4.3 to open with less than a full-screen view? It often covers something that I need, and having to resize the window first is an unnecessary step. Especially on a 27 inch iMac!

Do you have a restore button in the title bar? A green and round button in MacOS, I think.

Not that I see, unless I misunderstand you. I may have phrased it incorrectly. It's not "full screen" (the green button) but rather a window that is dragged out to its maximum size, so I need to go to a corner and drag it to something manageable. Apologies for any confusion.

OK. Here on my computer with Linux, clicking the restore/maximize button makes the window much smaller leaving room for other windows beside it. If I then close MuseScore, the program remembers the smaller size and uses that the next time MuseScore is opened.

It doesn't seem to work that way on the Mac. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

You're welcome, but do you hold down Alt (is it maybe called Option) while clicking the green button?

Humph. I've been using a Mac for 30 years, and I didn't know that was a thing...
It reduces it beautifully, but doesn't keep the state to a restart. But what you've just taught this old fart is a great help!
Thanks.

"[...] but doesn't keep the state to a restart."
I think it should, so I recommend submitting a bug report.
Nice, that a Linux user could be of some help!

I'll do that, thanks.
