MIDI File Conversion Tempo Change
How do I change the tempo of a converted .midi file? The file has converted to 58 BPM, but I want it to be double that at 116 BPM. If I change the tempo market on the sheet music, it doesn't affect the tempo. The .midi tempo remains 58 in the top banner. Thank you for your help.

If you put a tempo marking in the score, the music plays that fast. I don't know what you mean by "the top banner". Hear the score 20240510-tempi.mscz and its exported MIDI 20240510-tempi.mid attached.
If your score is not changing tempo when you change the tempo marking, something's wrong: attach your file so we can look at it.

The banner is at the very top of these screenshots to the right, where it says Q = 58. No matter what I make into the tempo on the bottom (in the actual score,) that top tempo does not change because its baked into the MIDI. How do I change it?

Here is a score: 20240513 1537-tempi-MIDI.mscz
Here is the MIDI file exported from that score: 20240513 1537-tempi-MIDI.mid
You can see that the tempo in the score changes from 56 to 126 to 182 to 105. Listen to the MIDI. It changes from 56 to 126 to 182 to 105. If that's not what you mean, please explain in more detail.
[A few moments later] Oh, is this what you mean by the "top banner"?
If so, this area, from the six dots to the tempo indicator, is referred to as the "Play Panel". Play my score and watch the tempo value there. You'll see that, as the playing score changes tempo, this value will change to tell you what tempo it is playing right now. Once play stops/finishes, it stays at the last value that was played.
It has nothing to do with MIDI export.
Please attach your MIDI file.
