VST questions
Hey there. I am experimenting with VST support for MuseScore. I have found my VST I want to use. It's an extremely high-grade quality, cloud-based instrument plugin Called Musio By Cinesamples. Again, I have found it and I can choose my instrument, but I cannot get the legato samples to work. It's like using a susains patch, when I want a nice legato between notes. Is there a way to tell Musescore to do that, or is it impossible? Also, do keyswitches interfere? I realize that some VST instruments do not work as well, so I won't be surprised if this one doesn't work as well.

There is no keyswitch mapping in musescore. You have to create a separate staff in the instrument, add the keys used to switch the samples, and hide it.

Forgive me for I am ignorant with how to do that. MuseScore is still farely new to me, so some features are not known to me.

I'm not going to explain it all, but here's a page of the handbook on this topic, I recommend you read through the whole page.

Thanks a lot. However, it is still not triggering any of the legato samples like it supposed to when using a DAW. It's treating one note to another note as a sustains patch with an instrument, and not the smooth legato transition that I am looking for. I'm wondering if it's because it's a paid high-quality VST that I'm using and muse score being free. Might have something to do with it. I'm wondering if it's a free versus paid scenario when I'm using a VST that may not work very well because it's a subscription based.
Curious if/how you've gotten this to work. I've also been looking at Musio, but I'm unclear on how it would work with Musescore. For example, if I want to have a few notes played by the trumpet with a mute, I would add the mute indication in the score, and the Musesounds library will play it accordingly.
But with Musio each effect, (mute, shake, etc) is a separate vst file, so how do you change which vst is used, say, for 3 notes only, then go back to the first?
