Added instrumnts not showing in staff

In order to play individual SATB parts, I usually assign the upper part Soprano and the lower part Tenor. I then add the Alto and Bass parts as instruments from the left pane. With the new part staffs showing I then expand the parts into the newly created staffs. They have always shown up in the staff before, but for some reason I can not get them to show. Can you help?
