Mid-staff clefs
Why the first circled clef is placed at the beginning of a measure, while the second is at the end of the previous measure?
I can't move the second clef at the beginning of the measure. Is there a way?

Depends on whether you apply the clef to a measure or to the first note of a measure

I've tried and selected only the first note, or the whole measure, and clicked on the bass clef in the palette, but the clef is always positioned at the end of the previous measure.

I'm away from my computer, but I'm 99% sure that a clef applied to a note appears before the note, within the measure while a clef applied to a measure shoes at the end of the previous measure

I am in 4.3.2. It's confusing, because previous ones where applied at the beginning of the measure, as expected. This one won't work though:
Notice the note selected.
End result :-(
Click on the Palette - this place the clef before the barline by default.

Now go to the Properties tab:

When applied to a note it should do this by default (Auto), otherwise I'd call it a bug and regression vs Mu3

According to Gould clef changes at the start of a bar always go before the bar line, except if they are to start a cue or are after a repeat. So the current default looks sensible as that is the most common usage. The other usages are doable by adjusting the properties.
