cutting notes in parts
When I cut notes in parts (voices?) they are turned into rests. How do I remove the notes altogether? I've used parts to add different notes with different timings into some measures, and I'd like to delete them. Thanks!

Voice 1 rests can't get removed, voice 2-4 rests can

Voice 1 rests can be made invisible though. Select them and use keyboard shortcut V.

Voice 2 (entered with P2) how do I remove them? They turn into rests.

select, press Del

First select all voice 2 notes. Use the selection filter.
Then right click on a rest, select all similar, delete.
It does not matter whether rests of voice 1 are also selected - they will not be deleted.
