I have been doing this just recently.
1. Highlight the single line with the two voices.
2. Go to Parts (at the top in the middle) and find
create a new part.
3. Now you should have the original part with
two voices and an empty stave below it.
Highlight the line with the two voices and find
"Explode" (under Tools) when you click Explode
the lower voice will drop down to the lower stave.
Now you have Two lines - each with one part.

Open the Palettes and Open one one called "Text"
If you want to add a text to a single part find 'Staff Text"
The words "Staff Text" will appear above the staff you
want it to be attached. Click on "Staff Text" and highlight
the little frame.
Type the Text you want. You can adjust the text by
clicking on "Properties" You can change the size, BOLD,
Italic, of the text. You can also move the text to whatever
position you like.
As you look at the Text Palette you can see a number of
commonly used words. I hope that this helps. Jeff
