Is it possible to remove the indent that short and long instrument names generate?
I've been working on a piece for orchestra for a while. Right now, I am trying to combine both the Violin 1 instrument, and the Solo Violin 1 instrument, into a single part.
This is easy, just go into one of the two parts that are manually created by MuseScore, go into the instruments tab, and click to show the other instrument of your choice. But after I did this, it created an indent on every space of all three pages of the combined part, with the long and short versions of their names in said indent. I know this is normal, but I would like to see if it is possible to remove both the instrument names, and the indent, so that more music can be put on each page.
Another option is to keep both the soloist's and the section's music as the same instrument, but this comes at the expense of the playback, which I would like to keep accurate, if possible.
I have attached the file for the specific piece I am working on currently.

You can delete the long and short instruments' names in the staff/part properties dialogue which can be accessed via right clicking in an empty part of the stave or by double clicking on the instrument name to the left of the stave.
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/staffpart-properties

I have tried that, and although it would remove the instrument's name, it leaves this huge space on the left side.
Is there any way to remove that space as well?

That is very odd. It looks like you have a negative indent on the first system. I am not at my pc now so I can't inspect your .mscz file. Perhaps tomorrow.
