MuseScore R2636(nightly build) and Jack 1.9.4 for windows
I have MuseScore R2636 and Jack 1.9.4 for windows installed.
I run jack with the following parameters
- jackd.exe -S -R -X winmme -R -dportaudio -r48000 -p1024
MuseScore can't be seen in the jack patchbay. When I configure MuseScore via "EDIT" and "I/O" I can deselect "use internal synthesizer" but after restarting MuseScore the option is again selected.
Is it my fault ? thanks for any hints.
Danke!

What's your purpose?
I tried the nightly with Jack 1.9.3 on windows and I can process the audio output or play the score with the MIDI synth of windows. Maybe it does not work with 1.9.4.

I tried with Jack 1.9.4 without success. I guess the nightly is built against Jack 1.9.3 and so is not compatible. David?
I will look for an upgrade path.

Jack 1.9.4 on windows is based on JACK API 0.118.0 and unfortunatly just compiling against the jack lib packaged with Jack 1.9.4 is not enough to make it works...
It compiles but at runtime I got : Cannot lock down memory area (Result too large)

Lasconic, the nightly is built against JACK 1.9.3. If it is alright I will wait till after the build instructions for Windows are updated. Since we are coming up to a release I'd prefer to avoid breaking the nightly build.

The latest Windows nightlies are now built against JACK 1.9.4. Let me know if you have any trouble.

I do. I have exactly the same problem than the one mentioned here. MuseScore can't connect to jack server.

I use this startup parameters, and I upgrade JACK from 1.9.4 to 1.9.5, but of both versions I got same problem as you. How do you fix this?

In case the information is useful: current nightly builds for Windows are built against JACK 1.9.5.

Windows builds are no more built against a given version of Jack, more exactly MuseScore is not linked with a given jack dll. The dll is loaded on startup if jack is installed on the system.

Then I rephrase my comment above, current nightly builds for Windows are built using JACK 1.9.5.
