Download failure
I have tried downloading version 0.9.6 several times. It seems to install properly but when I open the program I either get a demo or a blank screen. I exit from the demo. When I click "new" or "file/new" the program freezes and "Musescore Non-responding" appears at the top of the page. I have tried restarting and reinstalling but always receive the same error.

Which operating system are you using? Windows, Mac, Linux ?
The demo is a demo score, it's not a demo version of MuseScore.

I am using Windows XP. I realize the demo is a score. I exit from the demo and attempt to open a new score and the program freezes. I thought it may have been an install error but i have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.

The freeze you are encountering needs to be look in to more thoroughly. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the problem you are describing. Could you give a detailed description that mentions every step including every item you click. Start with opening MuseScore and end at the point that the program freezes.

The 6th install seems to have worked. I was able to open a new score, make entries and save. Unfortunately I can no longer duplicate the problem either. Thanks very much for your help though!
