Linux versions still at 3.6.2 in software centers, but AppImage is 4.4.3
Hello, ex-Finale user here. I am migrating to Linux and have tested Musescore both in Linux Mint and Ubuntu. Both work fine, but I had some start-up problems in Ubuntu, solved them with a bit of ChatGPT and Reddit (installing fuse2). But latest Musescore version in App Center / Flathub is 3.6.2 so I had to download v4.3 as an AppImage. With Finale's impending shutdown next year, wouldn't it be in MuseScore's best interest to release 4.3 in the Linux software centers so it can attract more users, now that some of us Finale users are looking for a new home? Easy installs are important for Linux newbies. I'm not continuing my music notation on Windows 11, thank you.

Here on musescore.org (and GitHub) we only provide AppImages, the distributions and Flathub are different and do their own thing
